All consultations are by appointment only and can be booked in person at reception, online or by telephoning 028 796 51250
Patients requesting an urgent appointment should be made aware they will be seen as soon as possible according to the nature of the symptoms.
In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many ailments and you may be seen more quickly. The Treatment Room nurse is available during surgery hours by appointment between 09:00 - 12:30 and 15:00 - 16:30.
Telephone surgery is held in the MORNINGS only - between 11.30am and 12.30pm after morning surgery. Requests for same day telephone calls must be logged before 12pm. If request is received after 12pm, the patient should be advised that the Doctor will phone them the next day or in the case of an emergency, the call will be put through to the Doctor immediately.
There is no telephone surgery in the afternoon
Patients requesting an afternoon telephone call should be advised of this and booked for the next morning UNLESS they feel they need to urgently speak with a doctor that afternoon. If this is the case, the reception team member should advise the patient that they are requesting an EMERGENCY telephone call and for that reason they will be required to ask the reason for the call and the nature of the symptoms in order for them to inform the doctor who will require this information in order to provide safe and appropriate care. The patient should be advised that someone from the surgery will be in touch to inform them of the outcome (eg, script, arrange appointment or doctor may ring back if clinically necessary).
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
